Our Scout Group is supported by an active and organised Group Committee, a small group (maximum 12 persons), composed of the Group Leader (GL), parents of Scouts, former Scouts and others interested in the Group.
The Group Committee meets monthly and is responsible for:
- Group property and accommodation
- Assisting the GL with finance, fundraising, public relations and publicity
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with the local community
- Ensuring that the Group has adequate funding to carry out its role
- Ensuring that all plant and equipment used by the Group is suitable
- Ensuring that all records are kept and funds accounted for in accordance with the rules of the Scout Association
- Convening an AGM at which the financial accounts of the Group and the annual report of the Group Leader are presented
